Daniel L. Villeneuve
Daniel L. Villeneuve is a Senior Research Biologist with the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development (ORD). He received a Bachelor of Science in Water Resources and Zoology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Ph.D. in Zoology and Environmental Toxicology from Michigan State University. He has over 25 years of experience conducting freshwater ecotoxicology research and has authored or co-authored over 225 peer reviewed journal articles. Dr. Villeneuve’s work has been recognized with over two dozen US EPA Scientific and Technical Achievement Awards and Bronze and Silver medal awards. His present research is focused on the use of new approach methodologies and adverse outcome pathways to characterize and evaluate hazards organic contaminants pose to fish and wildlife. He works within EPA’s Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure at the Great Lakes Toxicology and Ecology Division, located in Duluth, MN.
